Activies that can be done at home to help your child build fluency: ~Whenever possible, have your child read to you: cooking directions, TV show descriptions, newspaper articles, cards, etc. ~Have your student read to younger siblings or pets. Encourage them by telling him or her that they are helping the younger sibling. ~Read with your child. Take turns each page or paragraph or read aloud and have your child follow along with you.
